 Welcome to ICS

With members traveling to the far reaches of the world this summer, the International Church of Strasbourg will not be meeting at the Ecole Lucie Berger after June 14.  Join us in September as we gather with our new partners in Ministry at the Eglise du Bouclier on Strasbourg's "Grande Isle." Check back this August for details on this exciting new partnership.  You can reach our pastor, Carol Simpson over the summer at .  See you in September.  Remember to check the AICEME link below for worship opportunities as you travel.

A daytime Bible Study has just concluded.  The group will meet once a month over the late spring and summer before beginning its next extended study in September. 

 

April 19 - Worship led by Pastor Simpson at the École Lucie Berger with Time of Fellowship following.  Enter  through the courtyard at 1, rue des Greniers. Our children's Sunday School asks that you bring a non perishable food item to share with the needy if you are able.  A collection box they have prepared is available before and after the service. We will also discuss the proposed schedule for worship and church activities between now and the end of summer.  At the present that schedule looks as described below.

April 26 - We will not be meeting at the École Lucie Berger this week since our Pastor will be attending the annual meeting of the Association of International Churches of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (AICEMEA), which she serves as Vice President.   Members are invited to join our brothers and sisters in Christ at the 10:30 Anglican Service (in English) in the Église des Dominicains on Boulevard de la Victoire or at the 10:30 service (in French) at  the Église du Bouclier, 4 rue du Bouclier. 

May 3 - Worship led by Reverend Jack and Helen Hustad at the École Lucie Berger  with Time of Fellowship following.  Jack and Helen have led numerous international congregations including Warsaw and Vienna during their long career of service and ministry.  Enter  through the courtyard at 1, rue des Greniers. May 10 - We will not be meeting at the École Lucie Berger this week.  Members are invited to join our brothers and sisters in Christ at the 10:30 Anglican Service (in English) in the Église des Dominicains on Boulevard de la Victoire or at the 10:30 service (in French) at  the Église du Bouclier, 4 rue du Bouclier. Christians speaking French, German, and English will be present to help you meet new friends and experience the vibrant life of the local Church first hand.

May 16 - Strasbourg celebrates the 500th Anniversary of John Calvin's birth  during the "Weekend Calvin."  look for signs and posters around the city that can add a fascinating insight into to the History of Protestantism to your travels around Strasbourg.  Here is a link to a flier on the event in French .

May 17 - This Sunday's worship will be a highlight of the Calvin Weekend.  Along with all other center city churches in the Federation Protestante de Strasbourg we will gather at the 10:30 service (in French with English elements) at  the Église du Bouclier, 4 rue du Bouclier. 

May 24 - Worship led by Pastor Simpson at the Église du Bouclier, 4 rue du Bouclier with Time of Fellowship following.  Worship will be in French with English elements.  Christians speaking French, German, and English will be present to help you meet new friends and experience the vibrant life of the local Church first hand.

May 31 - We will not be meeting at the École Lucie Berger this week as our Pastor travels to be with her father on the occasion of his 70th College Reunion.  Members are invited to join our brothers and sisters in Christ at the 10:30 Anglican Service (in English) in the Église des Dominicains on Boulevard de la Victoire or at the 10:00  service (in French) (Note change of time for this Pentecost Sunday service only.)at  the Église du Bouclier, 4 rue du Bouclier. 

June 7 - Worship led by Pastor Simpson at the École Lucie Berger with Time of Fellowship following.  Enter  through the courtyard at 1, rue des Greniers.  We will also discuss the proposed schedule for worship and church activities for the Fall. 

June 14 - Worship led by Pastor Simpson at the École Lucie Berger with Time of Fellowship following.  Enter  through the courtyard at 1, rue des Greniers.  We will also discuss the proposed schedule for worship and church activities for the Fall.
